Amanda Davis
Instructor – Ballet, Modern

Amanda Davis was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida. She attended Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts for high school. Amanda earned her BFA in the spring of 2019 at New World School of the Arts. After graduating she joined Ballet Arts dance company under the direction of Deborah Marquez in West Palm Beach, FL. Currently Amanda is dancing under the direction of Hannah Baumgarten and Diego Salterini at Dance Now Miami in Miami, FL. She has completed her Cuban methodology certification in ballet and is currently working on her classical Pilates certification. Most recently she has been an artist in residence teacher at Bak Middle School of the Arts.

In spring of 2019 Amanda and select others from NWSA were chosen to perform in the Merce Cunningham centennial at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. She attended The School of Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ballet and Contemporary program in the summer of 2019. In 2015 and 2016 she was awarded a Youngarts Winner in Jazz Dance. Throughout her pre-professional and professional career she has performed works by choreographers including Aszure Barton, Darrell Moultrie, Didy Veldman, Jae Man Joo, José Limón, Jon Lehrer, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, Matthew Neenan, Merce Cunningham, and Eduardo Vilaro.
