Adult Ballet Jazz Tap Hip Hop Classes

Fall 2023 Classes

Pre Combo 1 – Ballet/Tap Combo:

This class introduces young children to the world of dance through a delightful combination of ballet and tap techniques. Kids will learn basic movements, develop coordination, and explore musicality in a fun and supportive environment.

Pre Combo 2 – Ballet/Tap Combo:

Building upon the foundation laid in Pre Combo 1, this class continues to nurture young dancers’ skills in both ballet and tap. Students will further enhance their technique, balance, and rhythm, while enjoying creative exercises and imaginative dance activities.

 

Ballet Basics:

Designed for children aged 6 to 7, this ballet class focuses on fundamental techniques and positions. Students will work on posture, alignment, and grace, developing a strong basis for future ballet training.

Jazz/Tap Basics:

In this lively and energetic class, 6 to 7-year-olds will explore the vibrant styles of jazz and tap. They’ll learn various jazz movements and rhythmic tap steps, fostering a sense of rhythm, coordination, and self-expression.

 

Level 1 – Light Blue Ballet:

Ideal for beginners, this ballet class introduces students to the essential elements of classical ballet. From basic footwork to elegant arm movements, participants will discover the beauty and discipline of ballet.

Level 2 – Raspberry Ballet:

Advancing from Level 1, this class refines ballet techniques and expands on combinations and movements. Students will work on more complex sequences, further enhancing their artistry and poise.

Level 3 – Royal Blue Ballet:

Intermediate level dancers will thrive in this class as they refine their ballet skills and develop a deeper understanding of ballet theory and terminology. Emphasis will be placed on strength, flexibility, and artistic expression.

Level 4 – Periwinkle Ballet Child:

Designed for more advanced young dancers, this class focuses on challenging ballet movements, intricate choreography, and artistry. Students will work towards mastering more complex variations and refining their performance abilities.

 

Level 1 – Burgundy Ballet:

A beginner’s class for teenagers and adults, this ballet program introduces the principles of ballet technique, focusing on body alignment, posture, and grace.

Level 2 – Dark Gray Ballet:

Building upon the fundamentals learned in Level 1, this class provides a more comprehensive understanding of ballet techniques and explores further movements across the floor and center.

Level 3 – Hunter Green Ballet:

Intermediate ballet students will delve deeper into the art form, refining their technique, working on complex combinations, and developing artistic expression through dance.

Level 4 – Navy Blue Ballet:

A challenging class for advanced students, this level focuses on perfecting ballet techniques, executing advanced variations, and honing the skills required for professional level performances.

Level 5 – Purple/Black Ballet:

The highest level of ballet training offered, this class is designed for experienced dancers seeking mastery in ballet. Intensive training, intricate choreography, and performance preparation will be emphasized.

 

Jazz 1 Child:

This class introduces children to the exciting world of jazz dance. Students will learn basic jazz movements, develop coordination, and explore various dance styles set to upbeat and engaging music.

Jazz Funk Beginner/Intermediate Child:

In this class, young dancers will delve into the fusion of jazz and hip-hop, exploring funky moves, isolations, and dynamic choreography that incorporates both styles.

Musical Theater Beginner/Intermediate Child/Teen/Adult:

This class brings the magic of Broadway to life, combining acting, singing, and dancing. Students will work on character development, storytelling through movement, and mastering choreography from popular musicals.

Jazz 2 Child:

Building on the foundation laid in Jazz 1, this class advances students’ jazz dance skills with more challenging techniques, intricate footwork, and expressive movements.

Jazz 3 Child:

For more experienced young dancers, this class focuses on complex jazz routines, dynamic combinations, and advanced performance techniques to enhance their stage presence.

Jazz/Tap Beginning/Intermediate Teen/Adult:

In this combo class, teenagers and adults will explore both jazz and tap dance, enjoying the fusion of rhythmic footwork and expressive movements.

Jazz 2 Teen/Adult/4 Child:

Tailored for teenagers and adults, as well as younger dancers at an intermediate level, this class refines jazz techniques and encourages artistic expression through dance.

Jazz 3 Teen/Adult:

For advanced dancers seeking to excel in jazz, this class challenges students with intricate choreography, advanced techniques, and a focus on individual artistic interpretation.

Jazz 4/5 Teen/Adult:

Designed for seasoned dancers, this class offers a high level of complexity and artistry in jazz. Participants will perfect intricate combinations, explore contemporary jazz styles, and refine their performance skills.

 

Lyrical/Contemporary Beginner/Intermediate Child/Teen/Adult:

In this class, students will blend the expressive elements of contemporary dance with the fluidity of lyrical movement. Dancers of all ages and levels will learn to interpret music through emotive choreography.

Lyrical/Contemporary Intermediate/Advanced Teen/Adult:

For experienced dancers, this class delves deeper into the storytelling aspect of lyrical and contemporary dance, focusing on emotional expression, fluidity, and challenging movements.

 

Pilates:

This class focuses on core strength, flexibility, and body alignment through a series of low-impact exercises. Pilates is ideal for improving posture and building a strong foundation for dance or any physical activity.

 

Modern Beginner/Intermediate Child/Teen/Adult:

Modern dance techniques are explored in this class, allowing students to discover new ways of moving, emphasizing improvisation, and encouraging creative expression.

Modern Intermediate/Advanced Teen/Adult:

For experienced dancers, this class refines modern dance techniques, exploring complex movements, and cultivating unique movement qualities to create evocative and impactful performances.

 

Tap Beginner/Intermediate Child:

This class introduces young dancers to the rhythmic world of tap dance. Students will learn basic tap steps, explore musicality, and develop coordination and precision in their footwork.

Tap/Jazz Beginner/Intermediate Teen/Adult:

In this combo class, teenagers and adults will enjoy the fusion of tap and jazz dance styles, learning both rhythmic footwork and expressive movements to create dynamic and engaging performances.

Tap Intermediate/Advanced Child/Teen/Adult:

For more experienced dancers, this class refines tap techniques and challenges students with intricate rhythms, syncopations, and advanced combinations.

Tap Intermediate/Advanced Teen/Adult:

Designed for advanced teenagers and adults, this class emphasizes the mastery of tap dance techniques, intricate footwork, and the incorporation of improvisation in performances.

 

Hip Hop – Child and Teen/Adult Levels:

The Groovement class focuses on the foundations of hip-hop dance for children, allowing them to explore fun and energetic movements to the latest music.

Hip Hop Beginner/Intermediate Child:

In this class, young dancers will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop dance, exploring dynamic moves and energetic choreography set to popular music.

Hip Hop Intermediate/Advanced Child:

For experienced young dancers, this class elevates hip-hop skills with complex choreography, freestyle techniques, and a focus on developing personal style.

Hip Hop Intermediate/Advanced Teen/Adult:

Designed for older dancers, this class challenges teenagers and adults with advanced hip-hop movements, intricate choreography, and opportunities for self-expression through dance.

 

Dance Movement Inclusive Dance Education Class – Teens & Adults:

This class offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for teens and adults of all abilities to explore the joy of dance. Participants will learn various dance styles, movements, and creative expressions in a supportive setting.

 

Acrobatics 1 – Ages 3-7:

Tailored for young children aged 3 to 7, this acrobatics class focuses on basic tumbling, flexibility exercises, and introductory acrobatic movements in a safe and playful environment.

Acrobatics 2 – Ages 8-11:

Building upon the foundation laid in Acrobatics 1, this class introduces more advanced acrobatic skills, focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility, suitable for children aged 8 to 11.

Acrobatics 3/Leaps/Turns – Child/Teen/Adult Level:

In this class, participants will develop their acrobatic skills further while incorporating leaps and turns to enhance their overall dance performance.

Acrobatics 4/Leaps/Turns – Intermediate Teen/Adult Level:

For more experienced dancers, this class refines acrobatic techniques and focuses on more complex leaps and turns, combining them seamlessly into their dance routines.
