Southern Dance Theatre and The Dancer’s Alchemy will participate in “Downright Extraordinary – A Walk for Down Syndrome”, an annual walk to build awareness about Down Syndrome and to help fund the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization!

Formerly called the Buddy Walk, Southern Dance Theatre’s Dance Movement class and members of The Special Arts Ensemble have performed during the opening ceremonies for the past several years, while the Dancer’s Edge Company, friends, parents, and students of Southern Dance Theatre have participated in the walk.

We invite parents, families, and dancers interested to join our team in support of the dancers in our Special Needs, Dance Movement class! All the information you need in order to participate with our team is below.

Middle & high school students can earn 5 community service hours for their participation.
