All tickets, donation, and program message proceeds from this event go toward the care of Palm Beach Ballet Center’s Miss Joan Miller as she lives with Alzheimer’s and are tax-deductible. The Dancer’s Alchemy is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Anna is the recipient of the Fred Lieberman Award for Excellence for 2015. Given in Honor and Memory of Fred Lieberman (1923–2008), HARID’s Founder and Benefactor – In Recognition of Outstanding Academic Achievement, Exceptional Artistic Accomplishment, and Exemplary Student Leadership.

The internationally acclaimed former New York City Ballet dancer and ballet photographer Steven Caras will join A Love Affair – An Evening to Honor Joan Miller as Keynote Speaker. Steven Caras’ life in the arts began as a dancer with the New York City Ballet.
Southern Dance Theatre is pleased to participate in this important event. All proceeds will go toward the care of Miss Joan MIller, owner and director of Palm Beach Ballet Center for over 50 years. After a life dedicated to her dancers and the dance community, Miss Joan now lives with Alzheimer’s disease and needs our help.
For more than 50 years, Joan Miller was the grande dame of dance in Palm Beach County. Through her Palm Beach Ballet Center, she trained thousands of dancers, including her “stars” who went on to the country’s premiere dance schools and companies, including Julliard, American Ballet Theat…

We’re excited to announce the Dancer’s Edge Company and Southern Dance Theatre will participate in the upcoming “A Love Affair” benefit hosted by The Dancer’s Alchemy. This year’s performance is in tribute of Joan Miller and proceeds will provide for her medical needs and care as she battles Alzheimer’s Disease and will be held February 27, 2016 at 7pm – Countess de Hoernle Theatre – Boca Raton. Many of Ms. Joan’s former students and their dance companies will perform and we will update you soon with the details!
Ms. Joan Miller was a founder of Southern Dance Theatre and if it were not for her support, our school would not exist.
We’re hoping to reach former students of the legendary Ms. Joan Miller to let them know of this upcoming performance which honors her.
