Creative Dance classes will allow students to use their imaginations and result in fun memories for years to come! Creative Dance is a form of dance that uses rhythmic, patterned, or improvised body movement, and it’s one of the oldest art forms found in every culture around the world. It is a joyful way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination, and promote creativity. It uses body actions to communicate an image (the wind),
an idea (a journey), a feeling (strength).

Fall session: August 14 – November 20, 2019
Wednesdays 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Parent Observation – November 20th during class.
Spring Session: January 15 – April 29, 2020. No Class March 25th
– New Students – begins July 24th

Returning Students:
Early registration for returning students begins July 17th in our office, during the following times:
• Monday/ Wednesday: 12-6:30 pm
• Tuesday/ Thursday: 12-7:30 pm
• Friday: 12-5:00 pm
New Students:
Open Registration for the general public will begin Wednesday, July 24th in our front office during the following times:
• Monday/ Wednesday: 12-6:30 pm
• Tuesday/ Thursday: 12-7:30 pm
• Friday: 12-5:00 pm
If you know a child ages 2 1/2 – 5 who could benefit from a fun class in which they can use their imagination – look no further! Creative Dance Classes will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 through May 1st! These classes make a great gift that will result in fun memories for years to come!
What is Creative Dance?
This is a form of dance that uses rhythmic, patterned, or improvised body movement, and it’s one of the oldest art forms found in every culture around the world.
Dance is often accompanied by music, but it’s also a form of nonverbal communication and self expression because when people feel free to move their bodies without judgment, you often get a glimpse of their innermost thoughts and feelings.
Dance and creative dance can benefit people of all ages.

Dates: February 6th – May 1st (no class March 20th during Spring Break)

Cost for the session is $225.00 with no registration fee. Boys will receive a 50% Discount!
The last day of each session will be a parent demonstration class. This will allow parents to see what the children have learned throughout their journey of dance. This class does not participate in recital.

Looking for a great early childhood class for your 2 1/2 – 4 year old? Join the whimsical world of Creative Dance with Ms. Deborah Kahan! Let your child explore their unique movement as they are enticed to become aware of self expression and creativity.
This class is great supplement for those currently in a homeschool program or those looking to homeschool in the future.

Creative Movement Classes for Ages 2 1/2 – 4 years begins Wednesday, August 15th!
Join the whimsical world of Creative Dance with Deborah Kahan! Dance teacher “extraordinaire”, Ms. Deborah will guide your young child through the magical world of dance. Let your child explore their unique movement as they are enticed to become aware of self expression and creativity. Fun props, rhythm instruments, scarves, and hoops will help to set their stories to dance and music at its purest form, leaping, twirling, and swaying.
We’ll offer 2 18-week Creative Movement sessions Wednesdays at 3:30-4:30 pm
- Session 1: August 15th – December 19th (no class November 21st)
- Session 2: January 16th – May 22nd (no class March 20th)
Free Registration! Each session is $325.00 (Boys 50% Discount).
Registration for returning students begins Monday, July 16th at noon.
Open Registration for new students will be held at Southern Dance Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, July 21st – 22nd from 3-6 pm.
