Recital Photo Event with James Culp – Sign Up Today
We are so excited that Manhattan Dance Photographer, James Culp, whose imagery has been seen in every major dance magazine in the world, will be taking head shot and dance shot photos for this year’s recital!
The photo event is June 3rd & 4th and will by by appointment only. Photos will be taken at Southern Dance Theatre, and you can book your appointment easily here.
SDT Students to travel to YAGP Finals in NYC!
Maddie and Savanna Bourque are traveling to the Big Apple this coming week. As 2 of the top 24 finalists at the Youth American Grand Prix, they were invited to take classes at The YAGP Finals in New York City. They will have the opportunity to take class with some of the best teachers in the world. We are all tutu proud of both of you! Have a wonderful time.
Dancer’s Edge to Perform at the Asian Cultural Show Saturday!
We invite you to join us this Saturday, March 18th for 2 Shows at the 24th Asian Trade, Food Fair, & Cultural Show at the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds! The Dancer’s Edge Company will perform at 3:30 & 4:30pm!
This is a one of a kind festival, presented annually by the Asian community in the South Florida area.
The event features the diversity of Asian food, art, classical and modern dancing, popular music, films, and wonderful exhibits and draws around 15,000 visitors from all over Florida.

Summer Registration Begins March 9th!
We’re pleased to announce the details of our Summer Session in preparation for registration which begins on March 9th, 2017.
We’re offering a ton of great classes! Camps for students ages 3-12 are always a big hit and we look forward to having a lot of fun and teaching our students new skills.
We have a great, robust summer intensive program, by audition only, for intermediate and advanced students 10-18. The audition will be held at Southern Dance Theatre April 9th from 1:00-3:00pm.
We’ll also have a couple of brand new classes –
“Dancer’s Tune Up” is designed for students who will be attending summer programs out of town, to aid in preparation for good placement in ballet and contemporary. We have one or two week options!
We’re also offering an open teen adult Pound class this summer, along with our intermediate level ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap classes!
