Summer is in full swing and we are really gearing up for our Summer Dance Classes! If you have not yet registered, do so now in order to ensure your spot in class. We are still accepting students for Summer Fun Dance Camp for students ages 9-12, Mini Dance Camp for ages 5-7, and, as always, welcome teens and adults to our open evening jazz, ballet, and stretch/ conditioning classes.
We will hold a Parent Demonstration class at the end of our Summer Session for Summer Fun and Summer Intensive. The dates and times will be announced. Check back for more news on Summer!
Due to popular demand, we will hold a third summer intensive program which will be for intermediate level students and run June 23rd – July 11th. Students may still audition by signing up in our office for the Intermediate/ Advanced Level on Saturday in Ballet Periwinkle from 12pm-1pm and for the Intermediate Level on Saturday in Ballet Royal from 12pm-1pm while space allows. This program is by audition only. Please contact us for more details and to sign your student up to audition.

Summer is the perfect time for a dedicated student to further refine his or her abilities. When academic classes are in the distant future, weeks away, and when daylight hours are extended. Each Summer Southern Dance Theatre provides a progressive, comprehensive curriculum designed to take dancers to the next level, no matter their goals. We invite intermediate and advanced dancers ages 10-18 to audition for our Summer Intensive Program to take advantage of these summer weeks.
Curriculum includes: ballet, pointe, variations, modern, contemporary, leaps and turns, jazz, choreography, and more!
Who can benefit: Seniors who will be auditioning for performing arts companies, Middle and High School students who intend to audition for Bak or Dreyfoos Schools of the Arts, and those seeking other performance opportunities, such as through The Dancer’s Edge Company.
Students will get the experience of the audition process and the opportunity to work with well-established and experienced instructors as well as like-minded, talented students throughout the summer.

For a one hour rockin, LOUD, show July 19th at 4:30pm! If you’ve seen any of this group’s shows in the past, you know how energizing and fun they are! They were kind enough to perform for “A Night of Hope” to benefit Sandy Hegeman and Hailey Kennedy and put on an amazing performance earlier this year!
You may recognize the familiar faces of SDT hip hop teachers Mr. Kenneth Fowler and Mr. Greg DJ Skinny Gilman.
All dancers in Summer Intensive A, B, and C, and Summer Fun Dance Camp students get free admission!
Space is limited, so dancers must RSVP by Wednesday, July 17th to reserve space. Family and Friends who would like to attend can join the party for $8 admission if space allows.
