BAK and DSOA Mock Audition

Any Southern Dance Theatre students who are currently preparing for BAK or DSOA auditions are welcome to attend this Mock Audition Sunday, 12/16/12 3:30-6:00pm.

Students will take group ballet and modern classes with an instructor they do not work with on a regular basis. They will also be judged on their audition solos and receive critical feedback on both the group class and their solos on the day of the mock audition.

Preparation is key to a successful audition.

Bring a Friend to Dance Class

Photo of Dancer's Edge BalletSouthern Dance Theatre is happy to offer the chance for students to “Bring a Friend to Class” over the next two weeks.  Students will bring a class pass home for one friend to take a class with them.  Please check the schedule below for the days this is offered for each class.

Please note that there are a few classes which are not listed below where we cannot accommodate additional students and are unable to offer it at this time.  Friends coming to class must present their “Bring a Friend” class pass to the teacher at the time of the class.

Bring a Friend to Class Schedule Week 1:  9/10/12-9/15/12

  • Tuesday:  Pre Combo 1, Tap Advanced T/A, Tap Int T/A, Ballet Chocolate
  • Wednesday: Raspberry Ballet, Jazz 2 Child, Jazz 3 T/A, Boys Class
  • Thursday:  Hip Hop Beg Child, Hip Hop Int Child, Hip Hop Adv Child, Jazz Beg/Int T/A, Modern 2, Modern 4, Tap Beg/Int T/A
  • Friday:  Royal Ballet, Jazz 3 Child
  • Saturday: Pre Combo 1, Pre Combo 2, Light Blue Ballet, Jazz 1 Child

Week 2:  9/17/12-9/22/12

  • Monday:  Black-level Ballet T/A, Jazz 5 T/A, Hunter Ballet
  • Tuesday:  Acro 8-12 years, Burgundy Ballet, Modern 1, Modern 3, Royal Blue Ballet, Hip Hop Int/Adv T/A
  • Wednesday:  Jazz 1 Ch, Jazz 4 Ch, Hunter Ballet
  • Thursday: Pre Combo 1, Ballet Basic 1, Tap Adv. Ch, Tap/Jazz Basic 1
  • Friday:  Pre Combo 1, Jazz 2 Ch Elite, Dance Movement Saturday: Ballet Basic 1, Purple/ Black Ballet, Ballet Basic 2
