- May 26 – June 1 2015 – Medallions and certificates will be presented to students performing in the Matinee “A” show. (Pre Combo, all Basic classes, and Dance Movement) during the last 15 minutes of their class.
- May 31, 2015 – Blocking Rehearsal for Matinee Show “A” at Southern Dance Theatre.
- 2:00 – 3:30 pm – Pre Combo, Dancer’s Edge Company, and Leads
- 4:30 – 6:00 pm – Basics, Dance Movement, Dancer’s Edge Company, and Leads
- June 5, 2015 – Last day of Classes
- June 6, 2015 – 1:15 pm Dress Rehearsal for Show A at Countess de Hoernle Theatre, Boca Raton, FL

- May 17, 2015 – 3:00 – 6:00 pm – Ballet Dept Only Rehearsal for Show B held at Southern Dance Theatre

- June 9, 2015 – 5:00 – 9:00 pm Blocking Rehearsal at Southern Dance Theatre.
- June 11, 2015 – 6:15 pm – Dress Rehearsal for Show B held at Countess de Hoernle Theatre
- June 12, 2015 – 6:15 pm – Show B Evening performance at Countess de Hoernle Theatre
- June 13, 2015 – 1:15 pm – Show B Matinee at Countess de Hoernle Theatre
In recent years, our Special Arts Ensemble has performed during the opening ceremony for the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Association’s Annual “Buddy Walk”. This event raises funds for the organization’s educational, social, and advocacy programs in Palm Beach County and promotes awareness of the capabilities and talents of persons with Down Syndrome.
We’ve decided to take our school’s involvement in this year’s 20th Annual Buddy Walk to the next level in order to make more of an impact.
We are opening the opportunity up to the entire school to get involved with our team, called Dance Buddies STEP UP, either by walking during the event or by making donations. The Dancer’s Edge Company will participate and walk in honor of our Special Arts Ensemble and Dance Movement Students.
This is a great opportunity for adults and children of all ages to get involved in a very important cause, one that is very dear to our hearts here at Southern Dance Theatre.
We are hoping Team Dance Buddies – STEP UP will make a great impact!

Be sure to click “Join a team” and select “Dance Buddies STEP UP”. This is Southern Dance Theatre’s Team.
Registration is $20, but if you register before October 5th it is only $15. If you are registering a student, you enter BW14 for the promo code, and the registration fee is then only $10 for students.

Congratulations to student and Dancer’s Edge Senior Company Member, Maddie Ricker, who has been accepted into The Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA!
Maddie has been awarded a scholarship and will be attending a six week summer dance program.
