Returning Students
- Returning students who danced with us during our 2016-2017 season are invited to register for classes early, beginning Monday, July 17th. Open registration for new students will be held Saturday 7/22 and Sunday 7/23. Please follow the steps below.
- Refer to the letter, recommended classes which our office mailed you July 10, 2017, and our class schedule.
- Complete your registration form.
- Submit back to Southern Dance Theatre in person with your registration fee & first installment beginning July 17th.
- Release & liability form must be signed at the time of registration.
New Students
NEW STUDENTS are invited to join us for open registration for Fall Classes 3-7pm on Saturday 7/22 and Sunday 7/23 at Southern Dance Theatre.
Our knowledgeable faculty will be on hand to discuss your previous experience (if any), goals, and help to find the best class for you during this time. This is a great opportunity for those new to our school to get a customized schedule and guidance from our instructors.
You can download and print your registration form and bring it in with you and we’ll have forms on hand as well. Leotards for Pre-Combo & Basic level classes will be available for sale at this time.

We are so excited to offer a fun camp for students ages 9-12 this summer and invite you to join us! Perfect for dancers with beginner and intermediate experience. Meet friends and learn new skills in a fun, supportive environment!
Teachers Sandra Goodnough, Jean Steele (Ms. Wesa), Lori Morales, Stacy Marzullo, Daylena Ruiz, Sydney Pennington, & Leah Stricker have big plans for our campers this summer!
Campers will get a taste of ballet, tap, jazz, modern, musical theater, and leaps & turns!
- Monday – Friday | July 17th – 28th | classes from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Cost for the full session: $500
- Free early arrival care 8:00-9:00am
- After care available from 3:00-5:00pm for $5 per day.

Join award winning Kevin Ferguson for Teen/ Adult Jazz Thursday, July 13th 6:00-7:30pm! This class will be intermediate to advanced levels. Drop ins, new students, current students, & alumni all welcome, please join us!
Kevin Fitzgerald Ferguson is originally from Houston,Texas. Kevin has studied at The Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, The Ailey School, and holds a BFA from The Boston Conservatory of Music. Mr. Ferguson is an NAACP Silver National Medalist and a Level One Young Arts Recipient. Kevin has taught at Ballet Hispanico, The Joffrey School, and VIttacca Dance Project. Mr. Ferguson has taught internationally and domestically at institutions and universities.
His choreography has won various awards throughout his performing and teaching career. He has performed work by Nilas Martins, Donald Byrd, and Larry Keigwin. Mr. Ferguson has danced with Elisa Monte Dance Company, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, Regis and Kelly, and David Parsons Dance Company. His latest credit was with Houston Grand Opera in a Principal role, and a feature in Robert Battles “The Hunt”. Kevin has worked as a guest artist for Sean Curran and John Higginbotham.
Mr. Ferguson has worked in the commercial and industrial dance industry with Southern Living at Home, X-Box, and for The IFL. He is pleased to bring his artistic voice to Florida, and very excited to be associated with the artistic community.

The Dancer’s Alchemy presents The ART OF SWEETS Featuring The Dancer’s Edge Company
This delightful show will feature the multi talented Dancer’s Edge Company members performing their complete company repertoire. Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary genres will all be featured in this show. Enjoy delicious homemade desserts while watching fabulous dancing!
The ART OF SWEETS is an annual fundraiser for The Dancer’s Edge Company through the Dancer’s Alchemy.
